Conservation & Fisheries Department - Rapid Growth Issues

Arguably the biggest threat to the BVI's natural environment is man-engineered, large-scale, poorly-conceived developments. This can be avoided with proper co-management. Implications for what may prove to be a changing global climate must be borne in mind as we think about and discuss what direction the BVI should be headed as a small-island developing state. The presentations found in this section highlight what we have observed and recommended about certain proposed or on-going development projects, as we seek to remember our Vision for the BVI's environment.
