BVIEC has already introduced an initiative where general delivery bills are not printed unless the customer comes into the office and requests one

 

2.      Assign officers on shift to ensure that by 6:00 p.m. lights and air condition units are turned off in all offices and that they are turned on at 8:00 a.m. on work days

3.     Install highly energy efficient lighting in engine halls and control rooms, where lights must remain on 24 hours per day

1.     Provide all BVI students (starting with the Elmore Stoutt High School) with free reusable water bottles made of recycled plastic to be used with single serve cold water vending machines by 2013. School logos will be printed on the bottles. This is to avoid students purchasing water in throw away plastic bottles.

2.     Already installed a free water machine for the high school students at Elmore Stoutt High School as a pilot.
